The Austria Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, themed “Austria. Composing the Future,” blends the nation’s musical legacy with forward-looking innovation. Its centerpiece is a 91-meter spiral wooden structure shaped like a musical staff, featuring Beethoven’s “Ode to Joy.” Made from sustainable Austrian spruce, it’s fully demountable and eco-conscious. Inside, a modular exhibition space explores the themes “Relationships,” “People,” and “Ideas,” culminating in a digital “Cathedral of the Future.” Designed by BWM Architects with facts & fiction and NUSSLI, the pavilion reflects Austria’s creativity and sustainability.
