The Saudi Arabia Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, designed by Foster + Partners, is a sustainable “village” echoing traditional Saudi towns with meandering stone-clad streets and verdant forecourt. Built with low-carbon materials, photovoltaic panels, rainwater recycling and energy-efficient lighting, the pavilion aims for net-zero operational carbon and Japan’s top green building rating (CASBEE S). Its modular design, with lightweight Saudi stone cladding, allows for deconstruction and reassembly elsewhere post‑Expo, extending its lifecycle.
