The Netherlands Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, dubbed “Common Ground,” emphasizes collaboration born from its historic relationship with water and Japan, tracing back 425 years. Built entirely on circular economy principles, every material is cataloged for reuse, turning the pavilion into a “material depot” ready for disassembly and relocation after the Expo. Dominating the space is a glowing “man‑made sun” sphere, symbolizing clean, limitless energy and anchoring a 360° AI-powered film experience. Designed by RAU Architects with Tellart, DGMR and Asanuma, the pavilion is a platform for Dutch‑Japanese exchange on sustainability, innovation and energy transition.
