The Shanghai Grand Opera House, located in the Expo Houtan area, is a new cultural landmark designed by Norwegian firm Snøhetta. Inspired by a fan in motion, its architectural design symbolizes openness and cultural exchange. The opera house features a main theater, smaller performance halls, and public spaces for rehearsals and community events. Once fully operational, it will strengthen Shanghai’s position as a world-class center for performing arts.
